Weather

This morning we are starting off a bit cooler and less humid compared to the last couple of days. Our winds have shifted from the south to the east and that is why we are a bit cooler this morning and also why it is less humid. We are not tapping into the hot and humid are down south anymore. As the day goes on we will see scattered showers and thunderstorms move through Central Pennsylvania. A few of these thunderstorms may be quite strong and possibly turn severe. These storms will produce heavy downpours at times and gusty winds. With a stationary front to our south and west we will keep a partly to mainly cloudy sky today. Today’s highs will reach the upper 70s to the lower 80s. Tonight the cloudy sky will continue and so will a few showers and thunderstorms. Most of the showers and thunderstorms will move out around midnight tonight. Tonight’s low temperatures will reach the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

Thursday, high pressure moves in and that will help clear out most of the clouds and all of the rain. This higher pressure will make Thursday quite pleasant. The high temperatures will reach the upper 70s to the lower 80s. The humidity will be low as well so it will not feel humid.

Friday, the first half of the day will be nice with a mix of sun and clouds. The humidity will start to increase a bit and that will lead to more clouds by the afternoon hours. A front will quickly arrive late Friday and continue into Saturday. The cold front will bring another round of showers and thunderstorms back to Central Pennsylvania Friday night. During the day light hours most places will stay dry. Friday’s high temperatures will reach the upper 70s to the lower 80s.

Saturday looks wet for most of the day. The front will stall over us and bring rain and thunderstorms throughout the day. The humidity will also be on the higher side throughout the day. Saturday highs will reach the low to mid 80s. The rain and storms will begin to clear out by the evening hours.

Sunday looks nice. The front will clear out and we will have a partly cloudy sky day. The dewpoint temperatures will fall and so will our temperatures. Sunday will be a slightly cooler day with our highs in the upper 70s to the lower 80s.

Monday through Wednesday next week will be nice as well. High pressure will take over for a few days and that wil kep the rain and storms away. Each day will have a mix of sun and clouds with about the same afternoon high temperatures. The highs will be in the upper 70s to the lower 80s.
