There will still be a couple of thunderstorms around early tonight as a cold front moves through the region. Any of these storms can be strong with wind gusts over 50mph. Remember, if you hear thunder, it’s time to head indoors. These thunderstorms will depart to the south and east later this evening. A bubble of high pressure will settle over the region and give us plenty of sunshine with just a few pop-up clouds on Thursday. We’ll have a comfortable breeze with highs in the 70s to near 80 with low humidity. A clear sky and light winds will allow temperatures to drop into the 40s in some spots Thursday night. Friday will feature a good deal of sunshine with a pleasantly warm afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80. The weekend will turn more humid. Saturday will be partly sunny and warmer with highs in the lower 80s. Sunday will be quite warm and humid with a mix of clouds and sunshine along with a small chance for a pop-up thunderstorm. Highs on Sunday will be in the lower to middle 80s. Monday and Tuesday will be very warm and humid with hazy sunshine mixed with some clouds. There may be a pop-up thunderstorm either afternoon with a slightly better chance on Tuesday. Highs will be in the upper 80s. Some places will flirt with 90. There is a better chance for a shower or thunderstorm as a front moves toward the region.
