Overnight weather forecast Wednesday, May 1st, 2019

A front stalled close to the region will continue to be the focal point of our weather through the end of this work week. Tonight will continue to feature a fair amount of clouds with a shower or a touch of drizzle in a few spots. The places east of Route 219 that were cool today will see temperatures hold steady or slowly rise. Farther to the west temperatures will drop back into the 50s. This front will stay close to the area for Thursday and Friday. We’ll have clouds and some sunshine each day. With more of a westerly component to the wind, temperatures should get back into the 70s everywhere. There will be a couple of showers and thunderstorms around each day but much of the time will also be rainfree. Nights will be more humid with lows in the 50s.

This front will stay stalled close enough to the area to still bring unsettled weather on Saturday. We’ll have some showers and thunderstorms on Saturday, especially during the afternoon into Saturday night as a stronger disturbance moves into the region. Highs on Saturday will be in the middle to upper 60s. Rain may become heavy Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain should taper Sunday afternoon with clouds breaking for some sunshine. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s.  Monday looks like it will be a nice day with at least partial sunshine and highs in the 60s to near 70. Tuesday will also be mild with a mix of cloud and sunshine and just the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be near to just above 70. Wednesday will be a little warmer with a mix of clouds and sunshine. A shower or thunderstorm will become possible as the next front approaches the region.
