Overnight Weather Forecast Wednesday, January 30th, 2019

Wind chill advisories and warnings remain in effect for the entire region. We’ll have a mostly clear sky with a frigid wind through the early morning hours. Early morning lows will be well below zero, some places in the double digits below zero. The wind chill will be dangerous, and this wind will also cause some blowing snow, so be careful driving. Remember to combat the wind chill, dress in layers and cover all exposed flesh.

Thursday will still be frigid but with less wind than what we had on Wednesday. Highs will only be in the single digits with wind chills still below zero. The sky will be clear early Thursday night, and with light winds, temperatures will still drop below zero in places before clouds start to roll back into the region.

A disturbance may bring a period of snow Friday. Right now it looks light with the steadiest the farther south you are in the region. This system can bring a quick few inches in places and will help to keep temperatures from rising higher than the middle to upper teens. Behind the system, it will still be quite cold Friday night with lows in the single digits to the lower teens. It will still be quite cold when Phil comes out of his burrow at Gobbler’s Knob Saturday morning. It now looks like . Saturday afternoon will not be quite as cold with some sunshine and highs in the 20s. We’ll turn even milder on Sunday despite an increase in cloudiness. Some drizzle and a bit of rain is likely later Sunday into Sunday night and some of that may freeze on untreated surfaces. Temperatures should rebound well into the 30s on Sunday. We’ll have an even milder day on Monday despite some rain showers. Temperatures should reach to near 40 on Monday and then stay above freezing with some showers and drizzle Monday night into Tuesday morning. With clouds breaking for some sunshine we may reach the middle 40s Tuesday afternoon.
