Weathercast

It will be quite cold for the early shoppers on Black Friday. We’ll have a chilly day on Friday with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will be mostly in the lower to middle 30s but there will also be a bit of a chilly breeze. Friday night will turn cold with a mainly clear sky early but then temperatures may start to rise later at night as the next system approaches.

The next storm system will bring a cold, soaking rainfall Saturday. There’s a good chance that this rain starts as sleet or freezing rain in many places early in the day. So keep this in mind. Also, dress appropriately and allow enough travel time if you are heading to Penn State’s final home game of the season. Highs Saturday will be in the 30s. The rain should taper to showers and drizzle by Saturday evening. Sunday will be breezy, but not as cold, with clouds and sunshine and highs in the 40s. Some places may even flirt with 50. Another rainfall is likely for the first day of hunting season. The rain may start off as a bit of a mix and then end as snow showers Monday night. Highs on Monday will be in the 30s to near 40. Behind that system it will turn blustery and colder Tuesday with clouds, some sunshine and scattered snow showers. Highs will be in the 30s with some of the higher elevations not leaving the 20s. Wednesday will also stay brisk and chilly with clouds and sunshine and scattered flurries. Highs will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s. It’s going to stay quite chilly on Thursday despite a good deal of sunshine. Highs will be in the lower to middle 30s. The chill will be slow to ease as we head into the following weekend.
