Overnight Weather Forecast Monday, January 7th, 2019

We’ll have variable cloudiness with scattered rain showers. It will also become windy. Temperatures will rise well into the 40s, and east of I-99 it will reach into the 50s. As the front presses to the east colder air will start to move in and the rain could mix with snowflakes by evening west of Route 219.

We’ll have a cold gusty wind Tuesday night through Wednesday night with variable cloudiness and scattered flurries and snow showers. The snow showers will be most numerous near and west of Route 219 where there will be at least a few inches and some slick travel. Farther to the east it will be more like flurries and a brief ground-whitening snow shower. Temperatures Wednesday will start in the 20s to the lower 30s and probably drop some with the snow showers during the afternoon. Some places will drop into the teens Wednesday night.

Thursday will still be windy and cold with clouds, some sunshine and just the chance for flurries. Temperatures on Thursday will likely not leave the 20s in most places. Friday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the upper 20s to the lower 30s. Another storm system will pass close to the region over the weekend. Right now it looks like this system will stay south of our area but it is going to be close enough for us to watch closely as time gets closer. With this system passing to our south, it’s going to be cold this weekend with highs in the 20s to the lower 30s. We’ll have a mix of clouds and sunshine Monday with highs in the lower to middle 30s. It looks like we will stay seasonably chilly, if not cold, later next week.
