A warm front coming northward will allow for some more rain to redevelop on Saturday especially for the midday and afternoon hours. It will be a chilly rainfall on Saturday with highs in the 30s to near 40. Temperatures may continue to rise despite rain Saturday night.
A couple of showers are still possible on Sunday; otherwise, the day will turn cloudy to partly sunny and breezy and a good bit milder. Highs will be in the upper 50s to the lower 60s which is near, to just above records for the date. Altoona’s forecast of 61° is just above the record high of 60° which was set way back in 1932. Monday will be a transition day with a bit of a breeze along with clouds and some sunshine. A cold front will slip through later Monday but ahead of it, it will still be a relatively mild day, just not as warm as Sunday. Highs Monday will be in the 40s with some places reaching to near 50°. Behind the front it will turn colder Tuesday and Wednesday with clouds, some sunshine along with flurries each day. Highs will be in the lower to middle 30s Tuesday and then struggle to reach the lower 30s on Wednesday. More places will be stuck in the 20s on Thursday despite some sunshine. Even colder air will come for the following weekend.
