A ridge of high pressure will continue to sit over our region and dominate the weather pattern over the next few days until a low-pressure system brings rain Friday and Saturday. It will be another frosty start to the day today. Temperatures this morning will be in the teens to lower 20s. Most areas will be mainly clear. As we go through the day today we will have sunshine mixing in with a few clouds. Despite the sunshine, it will still be chilly. There will be more clouds in northern counties. Our high temperatures today will be in the lower to mid 30s. Winds today will be from the west between five to ten miles an hour but we will have gusts up to twenty miles an hour. This will make the air feel even colder. Tonight we will have low temperatures in the upper teens to lower 20s.
Wednesday will be another chilly day with high temperatures in the lower to mid 30s. Average high temperatures this time of the year are in the upper 30s to lower 40s, so we will continue the pattern of below average temperatures. Wednesday we will have more clouds compared to sunshine. Wednesday night our low temperatures will drop into the lower to mid 20s with patchy clouds. A weak disturbance will try to move through on Thursday. We will have clouds with a few peeks of sunshine. There will also be a bit of snow or flurries. Our high temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 30s. Thursday night our low temperatures will drop into the upper 20s to lower 30s.
Friday we will start off with a cloudy sky. By afternoon, a low-pressure system will be moving in from the south bringing in rain. The rain will fall heavy at times. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. We will continue to have steady rainfall Friday night. Low temperatures on Friday will be in the mid to upper 30s. The rain will continue on Saturday. Watch for ponding of water on the roadways. If you come across a roadway covered in water, make sure to turn around and take a different route. High temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower to mid 40s. Saturday night we will have rain tapering off to showers. Our low temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower to mid 30s.
Sunday we will have lingering showers with high temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Monday’s high temperatures will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. We will have more clouds compared to sunshine. Tuesday we will have a few flurries with a partly cloudy sky. Our high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the lower to mid 30s.
