Morning Forecast, Monday February 18, 2019


This morning we will continue to be dealing with freezing drizzle, but it will be tapering off. Use caution on the morning commute, it will be slick and icy in some spots. Due to this the National Weather Service continues the Winter Weather Advisory for Cambria, Blair, Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Bedford, and Somerset Counties until 10:00 AM and for Elk County until 1:00 PM. Once this system moves out, clouds will try to break but we will see a snow shower or two this afternoon. Our high temperatures today will be in the lower to mid 30s, but they will slowly drop through the day. Winds will pick up today from the west and we could have gusts up to 35 mph. Tonight we will have patchy clouds with low temperatures falling into the upper teens to lower 20s as high pressure builds in.

Tuesday will be dry with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Our high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the lower to mid 30s. Our next low-pressure system will move in on Wednesday. Tuesday night we will have a partly cloud sky with low temperatures in the lower to mid 20s. Wednesday is looking kind of messy with a cloudy sky and a wintry mix. As Wednesday draws near, we will have a better idea of the precipitation types. Regardless of what falls, traveling will be tricky at times and you’ll want to allow yourself extra time. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid 30s. Wednesday night as the mix continues temperatures will stay in the 30s.

Thursday we will briefly have high temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s, before they begin to drop. Thursday we will have the wintry mix exiting the region. Thursday will be a breezy day. Friday we will have a rather cloudy sky. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Another system rolls into Central PA over the weekend. Our high temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower to mid 40s. We will start off with some sunshine and then clouds will increase. Later Saturday there will have showers around and rain developing. Saturday night low temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s.

Sunday we will continue to have a cloudy sky and showers with a bit of a wintry mix. Our high temperatures on Sunday will reach the 40s. By Monday there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine as the weather quiets down. Our high temperatures on Monday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
