Weathercast

This afternoon, we will have a slight lull in precipitation and then we will have more sleet and freezing rain moving in after the snow that fell during the morning hours. This evening this will continue as a wintry mix.Overnight night the freezing rain will switch to plain rain.  By Thursday morning, it should taper off to showers. Regardless of what falls, traveling will be tricky and you’ll want to allow yourself extra time.

Due to this the National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Warnings for Blair, Cambria, Huntingdon, Bedford, and Somerset Counties beginning Wednesday until Thursday at 6:00 AM. Winter Weather Advisories for Elk, Centre, Clearfield from 7:00 AM until 6:00 AM Thursday.  Indiana and Jefferson Counties are under a Winter Weather Advisory from 7:00 AM Wednesday until 1:00 AM Thursday.  What is certain is the precipitation will reduce visibility and there will be slick commuting.  Our high temperatures on today will be in the lower to mid 30s. Tonight as the mix continues temperatures will stay in the 30s.

Thursday we will briefly have high temperatures in the upper 30s to lower 40s, before they begin to drop. Thursday afternoon clouds will try to break. Thursday will be a breezy day. Friday we will have clouds mixing in with some sunshine. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.

Another system rolls into Central PA over the weekend. Our high temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower to mid 40s. We will start off with some sunshine and then clouds will increase. Later Saturday there will be a wintry mix or plain rain. We will have a better idea as the weekend draws near. Saturday night low temperatures will drop into the mid to upper 30s. Sunday we will continue to have a cloudy sky with lingering showers. Our high temperatures on Sunday will reach the 40s. Late Sunday into Monday morning there will be a few flurries and snow showers. By Monday, there will be a mix of clouds and sunshine with flurries. Our high temperatures on Monday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Monday will also be a windy day.

Tuesday we will have a cloudy sky with another low pressure system bringing in a wintry mix. Our high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s. Into the rest of next week, high temperatures will be in the upper 30s to lower 40s.
