This is the coldest air we have experienced all season. Today most of us will be stuck in the single digits to lower teens. Factor in winds gusting up to 30-35 mph it is feeling in many areas like it is 20 degrees below zero. Due to this, Wind Chill Warning continues for Elk until 7:00 PM. The frigid cold air will stick with us today. Make sure to stay warm and make sure your pets are warm too. Also check in on your neighbors. We will have a mix of clouds and sunshine. Tonight once again temperatures will plummet below or right around zero degrees. Tonight we will have a partially clear sky into early Tuesday morning.
Tuesday we will be partly to mostly cloudy. Temperatures on Tuesday will reach into the lower to mid 20s. Tuesday night we will be in the lower to mid 20s. Tuesday night will be a cloudy night before our next weather maker arrives. Our next system moves in Wednesday at this time, it looks like it will be rain that will switch to a wintry mix later Wednesday. You’ll want to use caution and watch for low visibility and slick spots. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid 30s. Wednesday night we will fall into the lower to mid 20s. Wednesday night the mix will switch over to some snow showers. Thursday We will have a few snow showers early and then clouds break for some sunshine. Our high temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Thursday night our low temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 20s.
Friday we will have variable cloudiness with a few flurries. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the lower to mid 30s. Friday night temperatures will drop into the 20s. Saturday there will be more clouds compared to sun with high temperatures in the lower to mid 20s. Average high temperatures are in the lower to mid 30s so we will be well below that on Saturday. Into the next week, temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s.
