As our flow shifts to more southeasterly, clouds that were locked to our southeast will drift into the area tonight. We will have a partly to mostly cloudy sky with the most clouds east of I-99 later tonight. There could even be a touch of drizzle in some of these places later tonight. Lows tonight will be in the 50s. A front will be stalled over the region Thursday which will leave us with a wide variety of weather across the region. Near and east of I-99 will feature plenty of clouds with some drizzle at times. It will be cool in these spots with highs mostly in the middle 60s. Farther to the west, there will be some sunshine which will help boost temperatures into the 70s but there may be a late-day thunderstorm in these warmer locations.
The front will lift north of the area on Friday which will make for a milder day in most locations; however, a disturbance will bring us scattered showers and thunderstorms. Any of these could be heavy. Highs on Friday will be in the lower to middle 70s and it will briefly turn more humid. The humidity will lower on Saturday with a mix of clouds and sunshine. It will be a little cooler with highs in the 60s. A disturbance travelling along a front stalled to our south will likely bring us plenty of clouds and some rain on Mother’s Day. It will be a cool day with highs only near to just above 60. Some places may not get out of the 50s. Behind that disturbance Monday may still be a bit unsettled with times of clouds and sunshine along with scattered showers with highs in the 60s. Tuesday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the middle to upper 60s. We’ll pop into the lower 70s on Wednesday with a mix of clouds and sunshine along with a pop up shower possibility by the end of the day.
