The area of high pressure system that has been giving us plenty of sunshine over the past couple of days will still give us a clear sky and lighter winds tonight. This combined with a very dry atmosphere will help temperatures fall fast tonight. Lows tonight will range from the upper 20s to the lower 30s. This is a lot milder than recent nights.
As this high pressure system continues shifts to the east, Thursday will become breezy and milder with a mix of clouds and sunshine. A few spots will have a shower during the afternoon into the evening hours as a front draws close to the region. Highs Thursday will be in the 50s to near 60. This front will stall close enough to the area to bring more clouds than sunshine with just the chance for a shower on Friday. We should still be on the mild side of the front with highs in the lower to middle 60s. Saturday will be breezy and mild with clouds, some sunshine and the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. The best chance will be in the northern and western part of the region and during the afternoon. Temperatures on Saturday will reach well into the 60s, maybe to near 70 in places. We’ll have a period of rain with a cold front later Saturday night into Sunday. Temperatures on Sunday will reach into the 50s but it will start to turn cooler during the afternoon. A new area of high pressure will give us plenty of sunshine on Monday, but it will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s to near 50. Sunshine will mix with a few clouds on Tuesday and it will stay a bit cool with highs close to 50. Temperatures will stay at a seasonable level through the middle of the next week.
