We’ll continue to have snow showers and a cold wind tonight. Accumulation will be up to a few more inches in the higher elevations to near and west of Route 219 with an inch or less in the I-99 corridor and less the farther east you go. A winter weather advisory continues for Somerset County but keep in mind that parts of Cambria county can also have enough snow to shovel by morning. We’ll have a cold wind with leftover flurries and a snow shower Thursday. Clouds will also try to break later in the day. Highs on Thursday will be in the 20s.
The wind will ease on Friday with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s. The weekend is going to stay cold with a storm system cutting south of our region. We’ll likely have some snow developing from the south Saturday afternoon and continue into Sunday. The heaviest snowfall should stay south of our area, but some accumulation is possible. We will keep an eye on this as time gets closer. Highs Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s, but that really will depend on the exact track of that storm. Monday and Tuesday will be brisk and chilly with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s.
