We’ll still have a strong wind along with snow showers and a very gusty wind this evening. Later tonight we’ll have some clouds with a diminishing wind. Do be careful as there will still be blowing snow that can make road slick in places. Lows tonight will be in the upper teens across the ridges to the upper 20s in the deeper valleys east of I-99.
Milder air will try to make a return to the area on Thursday but will bring more clouds than sunshine as it does so. Despite the clouds it will be a milder day with temperatures reaching into the upper 30s to the lower 40s. Temperatures will stay above freezing with some clouds Thursday. Another cold front will approach the area on Friday, but this front will not have much in the way of moisture to work with and it will only bring some clouds and the chance for a shower, maybe a flurry. Highs will be in the middle to upper 40s on Friday. Behind the front, there may be a touch of snow or flurries on Saturday, mainly near the Maryland border on Saturday; otherwise we will have a colder day with more clouds than sunshine. Highs on Saturday will be in the 30s. Another disturbance will bring the better chance for a bit of snow or flurries on Sunday, but the precipitation should stay light. Highs on Sunday will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s. Behind that disturbance, Monday will be a touch bit colder with clouds and sunshine and only a slight chance for flurries. Highs will be in the 20s to near 30. Sunshine will fade behind clouds Tuesday with highs in the 20s to the lower 30s. We’ll have the chance for a bit of a wintry mix later Tuesday into Wednesday. We’ll stay chilly into the end of next week.
