Evening weather forecast Tuesday, May 7th, 2019

As a front slips over the region, tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy.  A stray sprinkle cannot be ruled out. Lows tonight will be in the upper 40s to the lower 50s. This front will then stall across the area leaving us with more clouds than sunshine Wednesday.  A touch of drizzle or a couple of sprinkles is possible.  These clouds combined with an easterly flow will help to make a cooler day with highs in the lower to middle 60s. This front looks like it will stay stalled across the region on Thursday leaving us with a good deal of clouds and some drizzle along and east of I-99. Temperatures in these spots will once again struggle to leave the lower 60s. Farther to the west, there will be some breaks of sunshine which will help temperatures to rebound to near 70 in places. There may be an afternoon shower or thunderstorm in the places that do get some sunshine on Thursday.

A stronger disturbance will bring more numerous showers and thunderstorms on Friday with variable cloudiness. Temperatures will try to rebound Friday, reaching to near to just above 70. The front will push to our south again on Saturday leaving us with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s. A disturbance travelling along the front will likely bring us plenty of clouds and some rain on Mother’s Day. It will be a cool day with highs only near to just above 60.  Behind that disturbance Monday and Tuesday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the lower to middle 60s on Monday and then into the middle to upper 60s on Tuesday. We’ll warm a little more as we head through the middle of next week.
