A bubble of high pressure will slide over the region tonight giving us a clear sky and light winds. This combined with a dry atmosphere will help temperatures to drop fast tonight. Lows will be in the 20s with some colder dropping into the upper teens.
Wednesday will feature plenty of sunshine once again. After the cold start to the day, temperatures will rebound quite nicely reaching to near to just above 50 during the afternoon. This is only close to the average high for the date, but with the sunshine it’s going to feel a lot warmer than recent days. As this high pressure system continues shifts to the east, Thursday will become breezy and milder with a mix of clouds and sunshine. There is just a chance for a shower Thursday. Highs Thursday will be in the 50s to near 60. Friday will be breezy and milder with clouds, some sunshine and just the chance for a shower in places. Highs will be in the lower to middle 60s. Saturday will be breezy and mild with clouds, some sunshine and the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. The best chance will be in the northern and western part of the region and during the afternoon. Temperatures on Saturday will reach well into the 60s, maybe to near 70 in places. We’ll have showers, maybe even a period of steadier rain, later Saturday night into Sunday as a cold front moves into the region. Temperatures on Sunday will reach into the 50s but it will start to turn cooler during the afternoon. A new area of high pressure will give us plenty of sunshine on Monday, but it will be cooler with highs in the upper 50s to the lower 50s. Sunshine will mix with a few clouds on Tuesday and it will stay a bit cool with highs close to 50. Temperatures will stay at a seasonable level through the middle of the next week.
