Weathercast

A front will stall just to our south tonight and that will be the focal point for some unsettled weather into the end of this week. Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy. A touch of drizzle will develop in places before dawn. With low temperatures near the freezing mark this drizzle could freeze on a couple of untreated surfaces, especially bridges and overpasses.

A disturbance moving along this front will give us period of rain and drizzle Wednesday. There is still a chance for the rain to freeze on some surfaces at first. There will also be areas of fog Wednesday and Wednesday night. Temperatures will struggle to rise through the 30s into the lower 40s on Wednesday. As this front moves northward temperatures will start to rise Wednesday night into Thursday with some more periods of rain and drizzle. Temperatures on Thursday should rise through the 40s and into the 50s in places. A stronger cold front will bring us some rain Friday morning. As the front pushes to the east, clouds will break for some sunshine with a gusty wind the rest of Friday. There is only the chance for a rain or snow shower in some places Friday afternoon.  Temperatures early Friday will start well into the 40s to near 50 but then will drop into and through the 30s and into the 20s in places during the afternoon. A cold air mass will settle into the region with some sunshine and a chilly wind on Saturday with highs in the 20s. Temperatures will drop well into the teens Saturday night. Sunday will start off with some peeks of sunshine then a weak disturbance will give us an increase in cloudiness followed by the chance for some light snow later in the day into Sunday night. Highs Sunday will be in the 20s to near 30. We may have leftover flurries early Monday then we’ll have a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the lower to middle 30s. A storm system may bring snow into the region Tuesday of next week. We will have a better feel as time gets closer.
