Evening Weather Forecast Thursday, November 29th, 2018

Weathercast

Clouds will continue to increase this evening. Some flurries and some freezing drizzle will develop from the southwest to the northeast through the overnight hours. There will be some icy spots by the morning commute. And given that precipitation may be light, that causes a problem as drivers may not notice that the roads will be slippery. Therefore, plan on leaving earlier in the morning that usual. Lows tonight will be in the evening hours, reaching down to the middle 20s before temperatures rise a bit later on at night. Freezing drizzle and a bit of freezing rain will continue through the midday hours on Friday which means the threat of slippery roads will continue until then. Because of this ice, the National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for the counties along Routes 219 and I-99.

Later tomorrow precipitation will change to all spotty drizzle along with areas of fog as temperatures crawl into the middle 30s. Temperatures will not drop my Friday night. A warm front coming northward will allow for another period of rain to redevelop on Saturday especially for the midday and afternoon hours. It will be a chilly rainfall on Saturday with highs in the 30s to near 40. Temperatures may continue to rise despite rain Saturday night. A couple of showers are still possible on Sunday; otherwise, the day will turn cloudy to partly sunny and breezy and a good bit milder. Highs will be in the 50s with some spots approaching the 60° mark. Monday will be a transition day with a bit of a breeze along with clouds and some sunshine. A cold front will slip through later Monday but ahead of it, it will still be a relatively mild day, just not as warm as Sunday. Highs Monday will be in the 40s with some places reaching to near 50°. Behind the front it will turn colder Tuesday and Wednesday with clouds, some sunshine along with flurries each day. Highs will be in the lower to middle 30s Tuesday and then struggle to reach the lower 30s on Wednesday. More places will be stuck in the 20s on Thursday despite some sunshine. Even colder air will come for the following weekend.
