Tonight will be partly cloudy with some areas of fog. A few spots will have a shower, maybe even a rumble of thunder. While a lot of spots will not get rain, those that do can get a downpour. Lows tonight will be close to 60 which is quite muggy for the beginning of May. A front is still stalled close to the area, and a disturbance moving along that front will help to give us scattered showers and thunderstorms Friday. It’s not going to be a total washout, but any of those thunderstorms could be heavy with a flooding downpour. We’ll also have a mix of clouds and sunshine on Friday with highs in the 70s.
Behind this disturbance, the wind may go back to an easterly direction on Saturday and that could enhance clouds and keep some of us cool on Saturday. Right now we’ll say there will be more clouds than sunshine with highs in the 60s. Another disturbance will bring some heavier rainfall and some thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain should taper Sunday afternoon with clouds breaking for some sunshine. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s. Monday looks like it will be a nice day with at least partial sunshine and highs in the 60s to near 70. Tuesday will also be mild with a mix of cloud and sunshine and just the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be near to just above 70. Wednesday will be a little warmer with a mix of clouds and sunshine. A shower or thunderstorm will become possible as the next front approaches the region.
