A front will approach the area from the north and west tonight. This front will bring us some clouds along with isolated showers, but there will not be much in the way of wind. It will be milder tonight with lows in the 40s, some spots struggling to reach into the 40s. This front will stall close enough to the area to bring more clouds than sunshine Friday with scattered showers. The best chance for these showers will be north of I-80. Most of us will still be on the mild side of this front with highs in the lower to middle 60s; however, north of the front, many places north of I-80 will not rise out of the 50s. This front should lift a little bit farther to the north on Saturday leaving more of us with a warmer day despite more clouds than sunshine. There is still the chance for a shower or two around but mostly to the northwest and later in the day. Highs Saturday will be in the 60s to near 70.
A stronger cold front will approach the area for the second half of the weekend. We’ll have a period of rain with a cold front later Saturday night into Sunday morning. Temperatures on Sunday will reach into the 50s but it will start to turn cooler in most spots during the afternoon. Even though the rain should end early, the clouds will linger for a while on Sunday with some clearing possible later in the day. A new area of high pressure will give us plenty of sunshine on Monday, but it will be cooler with highs in the upper 40s. Sunshine will mix with a few clouds on Tuesday and it will stay a bit cool with highs near to just above 50. Temperatures will return to the lower to middle 50s with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Thursday will be a little milder yet with highs well into the 50s, maybe reaching 60 in places with some sunshine. Temperatures should stay a little above seasonable level for the following weekend.
