Tonight will be partly to mostly cloudy. Areas of fog will develop. Some will be dense. Be careful if you are out and about not only for a reduction in visibility but fog with below freezing temperatures can deposit a coating of ice on some surfaces.
A warm front will bring plenty of clouds on Friday with the chance for some rain in the southern part of the region during the afternoon. We’ll continue to have areas of fog also. We’ll have periods of rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Some of the rainfall could be heavier and there will also be areas of fog. Temperatures on Saturday will crawl through the 30s and into the 40s in places. We’ll be down to scattered showers the rest of Saturday, Saturday night and Sunday with a good deal of clouds along with areas of fog. Highs will be near to just above 40 on Sunday. Behind this system Monday will be cloudy to partly sunny and a bit windy with high temperatures in the upper 30s to the lower 40s. Tuesday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with a cool breeze and highs near to just above 40. Wednesday will be a nice December day with a sunny to partly cloudy sky and highs in the lower to middle 40s. Thursday may start off with some sunshine then clouds will increase as the next system approaches. Rain may develop later Thursday and then we’ll have some rain Thursday night. Temperatures will stay a little bit milder than average into the following weekend.
