Tonight will be mostly clear and not too cool for the beginning of May. There will be a few patches of valley fog. Lows will be in the upper 40s to the lower 50s. Tuesday will start off with a good deal of sunshine. A front approaching from the north will bring some clouds to the area during the afternoon, especially north of I-80 where some places will have a shower.
This front will then stall across the area leaving us with a couple of scattered showers Tuesday night into Wednesday; otherwise, we’ll have more clouds than sunshine on Wednesday. These clouds combined with an easterly flow will help to make a cooler day with highs in the lower to middle 60s. This front will lift northward on Thursday which will bring us a shower or thunderstorm in some places; otherwise we’ll have a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs Thursday will be in the 60s to near 70.
A stronger disturbance will bring more numerous showers and thunderstorms on Friday. Temperatures will try to rebound Friday, reaching to near to just above 70. The front will push to our south on Saturday leaving us with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs on Saturday will be in the 60s. A disturbance may bring showers by the end of Saturday with more in the way of numerous showers, maybe a period of steadier rain Sunday. Highs will be in the lower to middle 60s on Sunday. Behind that disturbance Monday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine with highs in the lower to middle 60s. We’ll warm a little more as we head into the middle of May.
