Evening Weather Forecast Monday, February 11th, 2019

We’ll have a mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain tonight. This will change to all plain rain farther to the south and west tonight. We’ll also have areas of fog and it will become breezy on the ridges. Temperatures tonight will hold steady to slowly rise in places.

Tuesday will start off with a mix of snow and sleet east of I-99 with more of a mix of freezing rain and rain farther to the west. This mix should go to plain rain in many places by the end of the day but there can be a significant build up of ice in places before that happens. Total snow and sleet will be mainly 3-6” east of Route 219 with less farther to the south and west. Though a few spots near I-80 in Centre and Clinton counties may get a little more. Temperatures will be slow to rise above freezing near and east of I-99 but temperatures will reach into the 40s in some places west of Route 219. Wednesday will be windy and colder with variable cloudiness along with some snow showers and flurries. Temperatures will start in the lower 30s but will drop into the 20s in most places. We’ll have more clouds than sunshine on Thursday but it will not be quite as cold with highs in the 30s to near 40. The next storm system will bring some rain on Friday that may start as a wintry mix. Temperatures will rise through the 30s on Friday reaching the lower 40s in places later in the day into the evening hours. A cold front will then move through later Friday night into early Saturday. There may still be some raindrops mixed in early Saturday, but the rest of the day will be blustery with variable cloudiness and scattered snow showers. Highs on Saturday will be in the 30s, but some spots may drop into the 20s later in the day. Sunday and Monday will be seasonably chilly with clouds, some sunshine and just the chance for a bit of snow or flurries either day. Highs will be near to just above 30. We’ll stay chilly through the middle of the following week.
