There is a flash flood watch in effect for Bedford and Huntingdon counties through this evening. There is also a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for Somerset Bedford and Fulton counties until 10:00 o’clock this evening. We will have scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening. Any of these can be heavy with flooding downpours. Later tonight will bring leftover clouds with just the chance for a shower in some spots along with areas of fog. Lows tonight will be in the 50s.
The disturbance that brought us the showers and thunderstorms will push a front back south of the area again on Saturday. The wind may go back to an easterly direction on Saturday and that could enhance clouds and keep some of us cool on Saturday. Right now it looks like we will have more clouds than sunshine with highs in the 60s. There will be a shower or a drizzle in some places with some more showers starting to arrive in the Laurel Highlands later in the day. This disturbance will bring some heavier rainfall and some thunderstorms Saturday night into Sunday morning. The rain should taper Sunday afternoon with clouds breaking for some sunshine. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s. Monday looks like it will be a nice day with a good deal of sunshine and highs near to just above 70°. Tuesday will also be mild with a mix of cloud and sunshine and just the chance for a late day shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the lower to middle 70s. Wednesday will be a little warmer with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible later Wednesday as the next disturbance approaches from the south. Highs on Wednesday will be in the lower to middle 70s. This system still may bring us showers and thunderstorms on Thursday with highs in the 60s to near 70. Clouds should break for some sunshine on Friday with highs in the 60s to near 70.
