Tonight will stay quite windy and it will turn colder with scattered showers that could even mix with some snowflakes in places later tonight, especially near and west of Route 219. Some wind gusts tonight into Saturday will reach over 40mph. Saturday will still be quite windy with at least partial sunshine. It may even turn mostly sunny in places for a while before some clouds return later in the day. Temperatures Saturday will only reach into the 50s, some of the higher elevations will have a tough time reaching into the lower 50s. The wind is also going to make it feel colder than that.
A clipper system will bring some rain back into the area Saturday night through Sunday morning. Clouds will try to break for some sunshine the rest of Sunday. Despite any sunshine, it will be cool Sunday with highs in the 50s. Sunday night will be chilly with lows in the 30s to the lower 40s.
The weather is going to stay a bit unsettled next week as we will be close to a battleground between warmth in the Southeast and come chilly air in the Northern Plains. This will leave us with several chances for some rainfall. Monday will be breezy with a mix of clouds and sunshine and just the chance for a shower or thunderstorm. Highs will be in the 60s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with showers, maybe a thunderstorm and highs in the 60s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be around with more clouds than sunshine on Wednesday and Thursday, but at this point neither of those days look like a washout. Highs both of those days will be in the 60s to the lower 70s. Showers are still possible early Friday but then clouds should break for some sunshine later Friday and it looks like we may have nice weather for the following weekend.
