Lake effect snow buries upstate New York

Weather Headlines

Upstate New York is in the midst of a powerful blizzard…Residents are facing whiteout conditions, with as much as four feet of snow predicted over the weekend.

This weekend’s storm is unlikely to break any records for New York state. A storm that began at the end of 2001 left 127 inches of snow on the ground in the town of Montague…. that’s more than 10 and a half feet.
