Check out this awesome photo Vicki sent in from DuBois. This is called a fallstreak hole or a hole punch cloud. High clouds in our atmosphere are made up up tiny water droplets that are colder than freezing, this is considered “supercooled” and the drops have yet to freeze. Once something disturbs this water they begin to freeze and create cyrstals. The crystals grow and fall leaving this hole behind! So cool! Thanks for sharing!
