Ron Perretta, the owner talks about other ways on how your car can get dents, “Just recently the storms that we had, trees were falling down, branches were flying off of trees hitting cars. So, the wind is one we definitely see”
If this happens to you, you’re not alone. Your insurance company knows it was not your fault.
“You won’t get penalized. Typically, your insurance deductible is going to be less too.” according to Ron.
So, it should not cost too much to repair when Mother Nature wrecks your car.
“You can see the real small dents here, typically of hail damage,” states Ron.
The repair can be simple.
Ron talks about how they go about fixing a dent, “We would weld these pins on which we have a special tool that does that. Welds these pins on and we have another tool that grabs a hold of it to pull them up.“
Ron continues to talk about the repair. “To smooth it out we would put a little plastic on it, sand it down and then you would never know those dents were there.”
Sometimes fixing the dent from above is the only way to go. You don’t want to change or drill into anything that is part of the structure of the car.
“You’re messing with the integrity of the structure of that hood,” Ron states.
HAIL DAMAGE CAN HAPPEN TO ANYBODY. IF YOUR CAR DOES GET DAMAGE THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO TALK OPTIONS OVER WITH YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY AND YOUR BODY SHOP.
