This evening we be windy with patchy clouds. Tonight will be a chilly night with our lows in the mid to upper 20s. The winds will diminish throughout the overnight hours.
Friday will be another calm day with high pressure keeping us dry. We will notice more clouds up in the sky throughout the day. Expect a mostly cloudy sky with peaks of sunshine. Friday’s temperatures will be in the upper 30s to the low 40s. The cloud cover will increase throughout the overnight hours and that will set us up for a cloudy Saturday.
Our next system will move in from the south. There is a chance for some light freezing drizzle and rain Saturday morning for our southern counties. This could make the roads a bit slick and icy in some spots. The wintry mix will not last long because our temperatures will warm above the freezing mark. By the afternoon the temperatures will be in the upper 30s to the lower 40s. As the warm front moves closer to us it will bring plain rain to the region Saturday afternoon. Steadier and heavier rain will fall through the overnight hours.
Sunday morning there will be periods of rain. The rain will taper to showers by midday. The cloud cover will break apart and that will allow some sunshine in the afternoon. The winds will pick up in the afternoon. Sunday will be a very mild to warm. Sunday’s afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s.
Monday will be a much colder day. Monday’s highs will be in the mid 30s. The wind will be quite strong throughout the day. The winds will make the day feel colder. There could be a few flurries in some locations. Most of us will stay dry.
Tuesday will be another cold day with the highs in the low to mid 30s. There is a better chance of a few snow showers. A weak disturbance will move through the region. The snowfall amounts do not like much but it will be enough to make roads a bit slick and snow covered.
Another system will arrive Wednesday and that will bring another round of scattered snow showers to the region. There could also be a mix of freezing rain and sleet. This will make the roads a bit messy Wednesday. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 30s. Wednesday will be a windy day due to a cold front passing through the region. This will set us up for a cold second half of the week.
