Today we will have more clouds compared to sunshine with scattered snow showers for the western counties and flurries for the eastern counties. Due to this the National Weather Service continues the Winter Weather Advisory for Somerset County. Our high temperatures today will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s. This is slightly below average for this time of the year. Our average high temperatures in early January are in the lower to mid 30s.  Today will also be a windy day, which will make the air feel colder. Winds will be gusting up to 45 mph in some locations so there is a Wind Advisory for Somerset and Bedford Counties until 1:00 PM.  Watch our for blowing snow. It could make the roads snow covered and also cut down our visibility. Tonight we will fall into the upper teens to lower 20s, with patchy clouds. The snow showers will taper to flurries.

Friday we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine. The winds will be breezy in the morning but they will calm down by the afternoon. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Friday night we will fall into the lower to mid 20s.

Saturday we will have a cloudy sky with snow late. Our high temperatures on Saturday will be in the lower to mid 30s. Saturday night it looks like there will be a system to our south that could bring us a cloudy sky and some snow into early Sunday morning. At this point it looks like we will see more snow in southern counties compared to the north. If this system moves further northward there will be more snow further northward.

Snow will linger early Sunday and then we will have clouds will be breaking for sunshine by Sunday afternoon. Sunday our high temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Sunday night we will have low temperatures in the lower to mid teens, with a clear sky. A ridge of high pressure will be building into the region.

Monday we will have sunshine with clouds mixing in. Our high temperatures will be in the upper 20s to lower 30s. Monday night will be clear with low temperatures in the lower to mid 20s.

Tuesday we will have high temperatures in the mid to upper 30s. During the day on Tuesday we will have intervals of clouds and sunshine. There could be a few flurries around on Tuesday. Tuesday night our low temperatures will fall into the lower to mid 20 with a partially clear sky.

Wednesday we will also have a day with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid 30s.
