This morning we will be foggy with temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s. A stationary front is stalled just to the south of Pennsylvania and this will keep us unsettled as the week continues. Today we will have a mix of clouds and sunshine with an afternoon shower or thunderstorm possible. There will be more sunshine in northern counties, with better chances for rain across the south. Our high temperatures on Thursday will be in the mid to upper 70s. Within a thunderstorm there could be downpours and gusty winds. The ground is very saturated due to this wet weather pattern we have been in. This could lead to minor flooding, if you are prone to flooding keep this in mind. Due to the rainfall, the National Weather Service has issued an Areal Flood Watch for Bedford and Somerset Counties until Friday at 10:00 PM. Also, remember if you come across a roadway covered in water to turn around and take an alternate route. Thursday night our low temperatures will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Friday we will have another surge of moisture. It will be a rather cloudy day with scattered showers and thunderstorms. At this point, Friday looks to be the wettest day. Our high temperatures on Friday will be in the mid to upper 60s. It will be slightly cooler thanks to an easterly wind and the clouds. Friday night we will have temperatures falling into the mid to upper 50s. Saturday there will be times of clouds and sunshine. During the afternoon showers and thunderstorms will fire up. Our high temperatures on Saturday will climb into the upper 70s to lower 80s. This is well above average for this time in May. Our average high temperatures are in the upper 60s to lower 70s. Saturday night the showers and thunderstorms will slowly diminish and we will have low temperatures in the upper 50s to lower 60s.
Sunday will be similar. We will have more clouds compared to sunshine with scattered afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Our high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s. Sunday night low temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s. We stay stuck in this unsettled weather pattern to start off next week too. Monday we will have clouds and sunshine with an afternoon shower or thunderstorm. Our high temperatures will be in the lower to mid 70s. Tuesday looks drier. We will have a mix of clouds and sun with high temperatures in the lower to mid 70s. Wednesday also at this point looks to be a dry day. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the mid to upper 70s. During the daytime hours on Wednesday we will have times of clouds and sunshine. The rest of next week high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 70s.
