Friday Evening Weather Forecast, Feb 22nd, 2019

Weather Forecasts

This evening we will have a mix of a partly to mostly cloudy sky. More clouds will stream into the region throughout the overnight hours. Tonights temperatures will fall into the upper 20s to the lower 30s. There could be some freezing drizzle and a wintry mix in some spots late tonight and into Saturday morning.

A warm fornt will bring some moisture to the region starting over the southern counties and it will move northward. Because our temperatures will be around the freezing mark when the moisture moves in we could see some icy spots form on some roads. The valleys will hold on to the colder air longer. Use cautions while driving for the first half of Saturday. Plain rain will take over in the evening. There may be a break in the rain in the afternoon and there could be some peaks of sunshine. Another round of rain will move in around midnight. This rain could be quite heavy at times and will continue into Sunday morning.

The temperatures will jump up quite a bit ahead of the cold front. Sunday’s high temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s with some location close to 60. It will be quite warm for this time of the year. It looks like there will be a bit of a break from the rain around midday Sunday. Another round of showers will move in the evening. The cold front will move through the region Sunday evening. After the front passes the temperatures will fall quick and the winds will become very strong. The National Weather Service has issued a High Wind Watch for Sunday evening and Monday.  A few snow showers and flurries are possible Sunday night and Monday.

Expect a mostly cloudy sky Monday with a few snow showers throughout the day. Monday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 30s. Monday will still be a windy day.

Tuesday will be a mainly cloudy sky day with a few snow showers. Tuesday’s highs will be in the mid 30s.

Wednesday another system will move through the region and will bring another round of scattered snow showers and a mix to the region. It does not look like a lot of snow but enough to make some of the roads a bit slick. Wednesday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 30s.

Thursday will be a decent day with a mix of clouds and sun. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid 30s,
