All week long we have been talking about three features that were going to step us to the harshest winter weather that we’ve had in a while. We had a front Wednesday evening and now a disturbance will bring a widespread light snowfall. This was the setup system for the weekend.
Earlier in the week, the computer models showed very high snowfall totals but then they have fluctuated as we expected. We’re done to a pretty good focus to a few inches on either side of 10-12″ but the exact band of the higher amounts will be determined as we get past this system.
No matter what, travel will be tough Saturday evening into early Sunday. The worst of the snow will be done by sun up on Sunday but it will take a while to clean.
