Even though March is the start of meteorological spring, it still is known to bring plenty of wintry weather and this is going to be a rough start to the month. We have one period of snow moving through quickly tonight with a few inches in places. Travel will be rough very early on Friday but the combination of the precipitation tapering and the stronger March sun will help roads fast.
There is a second system that will come on Sunday but there is a lot of uncertainty with this system and the computer models have been bouncing around. This is common as it’s hard to forecast a second event when the first one hasn’t even started. Keep in mind though that there may be travel issues Sunday afternoon into Monday morning. We will know a lot more as time draws closer.
No matter what, much colder air is coming our way next week. It looks like we have a good chance to reach at least the single digits one or two more times.
