A warm front will arrives tonight and bring with it showers and thunderstorms for Central Pennsylvania. Tonight’s low temperatures will be near 62 degrees.
The warm front will continue to bring showers and thunderstorms throughout Wednesday morning. Following the warm front is a cold front and that will bring more showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. A few of the thunderstorms could be quite strong and possible turn severe. The severe thunderstorms will produce heavy downpours, hail and very strong winds. Ponding on roadways could be an issue with these strong to severe storms. The cold front will pass by late Wednesday evening and Wednesday night. Once it passes we will clear out and dry out.
Thursday high pressure moves in and this will help make Thursday a very pleasant day. We will see a mix of a partly cloudy sky in the morning to a mostly clear sky by the afternoon. Thursday’s high temperatures will reach the low to mid 80s.
Friday will be a nearly perfect day. There will be plenty of sunshine throughout the day with a few passing clouds. Friday will remain dry and the humidity will remain low. The afternoon temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s.
Saturday there will be a few extra clouds throughout the day but it should still be quite nice. There is a quick mention of a stray thunderstorm in the afternoon. Most cities and towns will stay dry and see a partly cloudy sky day. Saturday’s high temperatures will be in the low to mid 80s.
Sunday will have a better chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon. Sunday will be very warm and humid so expect that uncomfortable sticky feeling throughout the day. Sunday’s highs will reach the mid to upper 80s.
The start of next week will be very warm and humid. Most cities will be in the mid to upper 80s both Monday and Tuesday. A few cities could see 90 degrees. A front will pass by Tuesday and that will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms to the region. A few of these storms could be quite strong.
