Trees are budding early in Central PA


You may have noticed that trees have started to bud here in Central Pennsylvania, especially south of I-80. According to the National Phenology Network. The reason likely is the abundance of sunshine and the above average temperatures we had through most of the month of March.

Much of the nation is in the same boat as us. The exception is a stripe from Oklahoma to Virginia. This area was in the main storm track last month and they had more in the way of cloudiness.
