Thursday Evening Forecast, March 29th, 2018

Tonight, rain will continue to fall throughout tonight with a few rumbles of thunder above some cities. Colder air will start to press in early Friday morning with morning lows in the 30s to the 40s. There may even be some snowflakes mixed in over the ridges. Temperatures will continue to drop in places into the midday hours on Friday with some showers mixed with wet snow in places. Clouds will likely break for some sunshine later in the day and temperatures will try to rebound through the 40s to near 50 in places.

Saturday will be a much nicer day. The day will start nice with a good deal of sunshine. That sunshine will mix with clouds in the afternoon as a storm system approaches to the north. Ahead of this system it will warm up quite nicely with most spots reaching into the 50s with some places flirting with the 60° mark. This system will bring a front through Saturday night with rain showers that may eventually mix with snow flakes in places. Sunday will start off with scattered sprinkles and flurries but then the rest of the day will be breezy and cool despite clouds breaking for some sunshine at times.

Temperatures will be well below average for our Easter Sunday with highs in the lower to middle 40s. Some of the higher elevations will not get out of the 30s. With a clear sky and light winds, temperatures will drop into the 20s in most spots Sunday night. Monday will be another chilly day with sunshine mixing with clouds and highs in the lower to middle 40s. The weather pattern is a lot more uncertain later next week but as of now we think it will be cloudy and chilly with some showers, maybe even snowflakes mixed in at times.
