Tonight will be another very cold night. The overnight temperatures will be in the single digits to the lower teens. Another arctic front will bring another round of light snow showers and scattered flurries to the region. Some roads may be slick for our Thursday morning commute.
Thursday the clouds will break a part of some sunshine in the afternoon. The sun will help warm us up a bit but we will remain below average for this time of the year. Thursday’s high temperatures will be in the upper 20s to the lower 30s.
Friday our next snow maker will arrive. This system is on the weaker side and we will only get clipped by it. The northern counties will be mostly cloudy with flurries and a passing snow shower. The southern counties will see more widespread snow. There will not be a lot of snow but enough to make some roads slick throughout the day. Friday’s highs will be in the low to mid 30s.
A nice change to our weather pattern arrives this weekend. Warmer air will move into the region ahead of a cold front. The highs will reach the mid to upper 40s. Saturday will be a dry day with a mix of sun and clouds. The warming trend will continue into Sunday.
Sunday will be the warmer day of the weekend but it will come with rain. Sunday’s highs will be in the 50s with some places getting close to 60 degrees. The rain will be mainly in the morning hours. It will be steady at times. Sunday afternoon we will begin to dry up and the clouds will break apart a bit.
