We’ve had a very cold start to the month of March. That comine with a little snow has left slopes in better shape then they were for parts of January and February. Slope counts and base layers remain high and should be in great shape through the middle of the month despite some milder weather.
As for the weather on the slopes, it will be chilly with a bit of snow at some resorts on Friday. Not enough to add more than a bit of atmosphere with the highest amounts for the mountains of West Virginia. Saturday will be milder with clouds and some sunshine but then we’ll turn even warmer with some rain, maybe a thunderstorm Saturday night into Sunday morning. It will then turn windy and stay mild the rest of Sunday.
