Tonight the partly cloudy sky will continue and the overnight low will fall into the upper 50s to the lower 60s. That is about 10 degrees warmer than the past couple of nights.
Sunday will be a very warm and humid day. Because of the humidity and the day time heating we will see a mix of clouds and sun throughout the day. Also we can not rule out a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon hours. A few of these could be strong and produce a heavy downpour and gusty winds. Sunday’s high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 80s.
Monday, the real heat moves in as the afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 80s to the lower 90s. On top of the summer time heat the dewpoint temperatures will be high as well. Most of them will be in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. When the dewpoint temperatures are this high it will feel very humid and sticky. The best place to be will be inside or a body of water to keep cool. Don’t forget to drink plenty of water throughout the day and also apply that sunscreen to protect yourselves. We can not rule out a passing shower or thunderstorms Monday afternoon. A few of these showers and storms may be quite strong and produce a heavy downpour and gusty winds.
Tuesday will be another hot and humid day for the most part. The afternoon temperatures wil reach the upper 80s to the lower 90s again. The humidity will remain high on Tuesday. A cold front will move through Tuesday evening and will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Central Pennsylvania. These storms will continue Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning.
Wednesday morning will be wet as the front clears out of Central Pennsylvania. The clouds will clear out throughout the day and the afternoon should be dry with a mix of sun and clouds. Wednesday’s highs will reach the mid 80s.
Thursday and Friday look nice as of right now. High pressure will move in and that will clear out most of the clouds and keep the weather calm. Both Thursday and Friday will be nice with the afternoon temperatures in the mid 80s.
