This evening will be warm and muggy with a few showers and thunderstorms. The mainly cloudy sky will stick around tonight with a few lingering showers. Tonights lows will be in the upper 50s to the lower 60s. The stationary front that has stalled over the region will keep the active weather going through Sunday.
Sunday morning wide spread showers and thunderstorms will take over Central Pennsylvania. A few of these showers and storms will be strong and produce heavy downpours and gusty winds. Ponding on some roadways could be an issue throughout Sunday. The winds will come from the east throughout Sunday and that will keep us much cooler than the past couple of days. With the cloudy sky, rain and the winds most cities will struggle to get out of the 60s tomorrow afternoon. A few cities who don’t see a lot of rain could reach the low to mid 70s. Sunday evening we will begin to dry out but hold on to the cloudy sky.
Monday morning there could be a lingering shower for a select few cities and towns but most will stay dry. The clouds will break apart throughout the day and by the evening we will have a partly cloudy sky. Monday’s highs will reach the low to mid 70s.
Tuesday through the end of the of next week we will be in a summer time pattern. Meaning, most days we will see a mix of sun and clouds with a few showers and a stray thunderstorms in the afternoon. The afternoon temperatures will reach the upper 70s to the mid 80s.
