Penn State - Michigan State Gameday Forecast

Chief Meteorologist Joe Murgo talks about a cool game on Saturday

Hello Nittany Nation,

We're heading back to Beaver Stadium for a game against Michigan State's Spartans on Saturday for a 3:30pm kickoff. Last year weather was a major factor as a line of strong thunderstorms caused a three and a half hour delay in the game. The Lions were up by a touchdown before the delay but never recovered after the delay.

This year weather will not be as much as an issue. There will be a little rain or some sprinkles later Friday night into early Saturday. It will still be mostly cloudy and chilly for the pregame tailgates with temperatures rising into the 50s. You'll need a decent jacket as there will be a brisk breeze to add to the chilliness. We'll be in the lower 50s for the 3:30pm kickoff with the clouds breaking for some sunshine. Though keep in mind that the late afternoon game will likely end in the dark so dress appropriately as temperatures will drop into the upper 40s by the end of the game. There will be no issues travelling home from the games.

Fight on State!

Joe
