Wednesday will also be another hot and humid day with some hazy sunshine. There is a chance for a thunderstorm by the end of the day as a front moves closer to the region. The best chance will be in the far northwestern part of our region. Highs will once again be well into the 80s to the lower 90s. It will also still be quite humid so remember to be safe and take it easy during the real heat of the day and to drink plenty of fluids.
This front will bring a band of showers and a thunderstorm through the area Wednesday night and then may stall to our south for the end of the week. Both Thursday and Friday will feature clouds and some sunshine along with the chance for a couple of showers each day. The better chance may be the further south you are which will be closer to the front. Highs each day will be in the 70s to near 80. The weekend looks like it will also be warm and humid. Saturday will feature clouds and sunshine with only the chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm. It is still too early for us to know if this will have any impact on the first Penn State home game which kicks off at 3:30pm on Saturday. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday will also stay warm and humid with clouds and hazy sunshine and the chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on any day; however, this will stay mostly a dry weather pattern. Highs each day will be in the lower to middle 80s which is quite high for the beginning of September.
