Tuesday will be an unsettled day with variable cloudiness along with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Any of the thunderstorms could be heavy, especially from the afternoon into the first half of the night. With so much moisture in the air, some of the rainfall could spark flooding in places. Highs on Tuesday will be in the 70s, though with peaks of sunshine and an easterly component to the wind, some places west of Route 219 could sneak close to 80°.
These showers and thunderstorms will be ahead of a cold front that will bring us a nice change in the weather pattern later this week. Behind the front there still can be a shower or two around Wednesday; otherwise, it will be cloudy to partly sunny and a bit breezy. An area of high pressure will then settle over the region and give us a gorgeous end to the work week. Thursday may start off with areas of fog but then we’ll have a good deal of sunshine with a pleasant afternoon. Highs will be in the middle to upper 70s. Thursday night will be comfortably cool with lows in the 50s, some places will even drop into the 40s. Friday will start off with some fog but then we will have a good deal of sunshine with a pleasantly warm afternoon. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80. The humidity will creep up again over the upcoming weekend. Saturday will mostly likely be rain free with a mix of clouds and sunshine. Highs will be in the 70s to near 80. Sunday will be warm and humid with clouds and sunshine and a slight chance for some showers. We’ll have a better chance for a shower or thunderstorm Monday into next week as it turns quite warm and humid again.
