A weak front will move through the region early Saturday with some patches of clouds and nothing more than an isolated sprinkle. Behind that front, we’ll have a comfortably cool weekend. Saturday will be a bit breezy with a mix of clouds and sunshine, but sunshine will win out by the end of the day. Highs will be in the 60s.
The sky will become mainly clear for the Penn State game Saturday night. You will need a jacket or sweatshirt during the Whiteout game as temperatures will be dropping through the 50s during the game. It will become quite chilly later Saturday night with lows in the 40s. Some of the coldest spots could even drop into the 30s. A warm front passing to our north and west will likely spill a few clouds into the area on Sunday leaving us with times of clouds and sunshine. Highs Sunday will be in the 60s to near 70. Behind that warm front we’re going to have warm weather as we head through next week. Monday will turn breezy and milder with some sunshine. Highs will be in the middle 70s. We’ll stay relatively warm Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with a mix of clouds and sunshine each day. Highs each day will be in the middle to upper 80s. It’s going to be a drier pattern too with just the chance for a shower or a touch of drizzle on any of the days. Eventually a cold front will move through and send some cooler air back into the region by the start of the second week of October.
