This front will move through with showers and thunderstorms early Wednesday. Temperatures early Wednesday will be well into the 50s, some places near 60. As the front passes, the wind will become quite strong and temperatures will fall. In fact, temperatures will fall through the 40s and into the 30s in places before trying to rebound a little in the afternoon. We’ll have clouds and some sunshine during the afternoon with scattered showers of rain and wet snow. Some of the wind gusts will reach over 40mph and a wind advisory is in effect for the entire region from 8am until 8pm on Wednesday.
Thursday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine along with a chilly breeze. Highs will be in the lower to middle 40s. While it will be a cold opener for the Altoona Curve, it looks like the game will be on and it will be dry for that game. Another cold front will move through with a gusty wind and rain then snow showers Friday. Highs will be in the 40s. Behind the front it will be chilly for the weekend. Saturday will feature more clouds than sunshine and we are watching the chance for snow or a bit of a mix on Saturday as a disturbance passes to our south. Highs on Saturday will be in the 30s to the lower 40s. Clouds should break for some sunshine on Sunday, but it will stay chilly. Another disturbance may bring a bit of a mix on Monday. We’ll have some showers of rain perhaps mixed with snow at times on Tuesday. Highs will be in the 40s both Monday and Tuesday. We’ll have a warm up later next week.
