Overnight Forecast Saturday, October 20, 2018

Tonight a secondary front will move through the area. This will bring us showers that will mix with and change over to snow, especially in the higher elevations, as a shot of cold air moves into the area. Most places won’t see any accumulation, but some of the higher terrain could see up to an inch. Now it will be a windy night with gusts that can be in the 40 to 50 mph range. Because of the windy conditions tonight the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Somerset and Bedford counties until 8 AM Sunday. So if you have any loose outdoor objects you will want to bring them in or tie them down.

Tomorrow will start off with a flurry or snow shower in a few spots. Then high pressure will start to build in allowing for the flurries and snow shower to come to an end. The day will end with a fair amount of sunshine thanks to high pressure building into the area. It will however be a cool day as our high temperatures will only be in the upper 30s to the 40s, and the wind will help it to feel much cooler. Sunday night will be mostly clear with our low temperatures falling to the upper 20s and the lower 30s. You will want the sunglasses for Monday as it will be mostly sunny. It will be a cool day as our high temperatures will in the lower to middle 50s. Tuesday and Wednesday will each have times of clouds and sunshine. There is a small chance for a shower or flurry to the north as a disturbance passes to our north. High temperatures will be in the lower and middle 50s Tuesday, while for Wednesday we will be in the 40s to around the 50-degree mark. Another area of high pressure will move in for Thursday and Friday. You will want the sunglasses for each day as they will be mostly sunny. High temperatures will be in the lower to the middle 50s. Saturday will be partly sunny, but a shower is possible later in the day as another disturbance will move into the area. Our high temperatures Saturday will be in the lower to middle 50s.
