A low pressure system will move in today and bring us a light snowfall. At this point it looks like southern areas will have more of the snowfall compared to the north. In Somerset County there will be 3 to 6” Cambria, Southern Blair, Bedford, and Southern Huntingdon 1 to 3” and further north there will be a trace to an inch. Due to this the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Cambria, Somerset and Bedford counties until 5:00 PM. Our high temperatures today will be in the mid to upper teens. Tonight there will be patchy clouds with low temperatures in the single digits.
You’ll want to bundle up if you are headed to Gobblers Knob for Groundhog Day. It will be in the low teens to single digits to start off Saturday morning. Saturday for Groundhog Day we will have a rather cloudy sky and there is a chance for some freezing drizzle. The high temperatures will be in the mid to upper 30s.
Sunday will also be a rather cloudy day with a bit of drizzle. After the past few weeks will have a nice warm up headed into next week. Briefly it will be feeling more like spring instead of winter. Our high temperatures on Sunday will be in the lower to mid 40s.
Monday we will have a rather cloudy day with showers around. High temperatures on Monday will reach into the mid to upper 40s. Monday night we will fall into the mid to upper 30s with showers and some freezing drizzle.
Tuesday we will have showers early and then clouds will try to break. Our high temperatures on Tuesday will be in the mid to upper 40s. Tuesday night we will have temperatures dropping into the lower to mid 30s.
Another system will move in late Wednesday and bring us some showers. Our high temperatures on Wednesday will be in the lower to mid 40s. Wednesday night we will have temperatures Wednesday night we will have low temperatures falling into the lower to mid 30s.
Thursday will be rather cloudy and we will have periods of rain. Thursday’s highs will be in the mid to upper 30s.
