A cold front will bring some showers and thunderstorms to the region early tonight. Some of them can be strong, especially west of I-99. Later tonight will remain partly to mostly cloudy with areas of fog and just the chance for another showers. It will still be a bit muggy tonight with lows in the 60s. This front will stall not too far to the south and will likely keep our weather on the cloudier side for the end of the week. Both Thursday and Friday will feature clouds and some sunshine along with the chance for a couple of showers each day. The better chance may be the further south you are which will be closer to the front. Highs each day will be in the 70s.
The weekend looks like it will also be warm and humid. A flow from the Atlantic Ocean combined with the front to the south will probably still give us a good deal of clouds along with drizzle and maybe a couple of showers. As of now the best chance for any of this may be farther to the south but we will have to keep an eye on it for the first Penn State home game which kicks off at 3:30pm on Saturday. Temperatures on Saturday will likely not rise higher than the 70s. The rest of the holiday weekend will be warm and humid with times of clouds and sunshine. There may be a shower or thunderstorm in places on either day but most of us and most of the time should be rain free. Highs will be in the lower to middle 80s both Sunday and Monday. Not much will change for Tuesday and Wednesday. It will stay warm and humid with clouds and hazy sunshine and the chance for a pop-up shower or thunderstorm on either day; however, this will stay mostly a dry weather pattern. Highs each day will be in the lower to middle 80s which is quite high for the beginning of September.
